Nike SB Challenge Court – the classic 1984 tennis shoe has been reinvented for skateboarding!
This new TVC sees Nike skater Gino Iannucci pushing through New York, only to stumble across tennis legend John McEnroe ….. skating to an extended tennis rally soundtrack – what’s not to love?!!

It kind of makes sense that Superbrat John McEnroe would inspire a skate shoe. Rough and tough, things always got a little rad when he ripped up centre court. Nike skater Gino Iannucci has adopted McEnroe’s Challenge Court as his new signature shoe, subtly tweaking it with a slimmer profile, softer outsole and a cushy Lunarlon crash pad. As Iannucci puts it, ‚Äòthe shoe was ready to go SB back in ’84.’ Check out the cool vid below that sees Iannucci skate from Queens to Times Square where he recreates McEnroe’s classic ‚ÄòRebel Without a Cause’ poster pose. There’s also a park bench face-off with a certain crotchety old timer! Look out for the Nike SB Challenge Court at select outlets on August 23rd.
