What’s not to love about Prada ‘Real Fantasies’ video lookbook for AW12 collection?!!
Unfolding as a pop-out scrapbook, both mens & womenswear collections are unveiled in a fusion of film, still photography and collage, with old-meets-new themes in footage that nods to the Orwell’s 1984 Oceana.

Rotterdam-based AMO has conceived ‘real fantasies’, a film and scenography for Milan-based fashion house Prada’s AW12 collection. Models are depicted amongst a backdrop of a dystopian society of machines and geometric landscapes, envisioning the future of fashion as a retrofitted past. A galaxy of characters are engrossed within oblique and deviant power dynamics.
Surreal images of slowly moving starry skies, shooting comets and rotating earths are set behind neoclassical train stations and baroque interiors. In one scene, trains quickly pass between skyscrapers on a network of bridges becomes a site for a swift encounter
between friends. Another shows a man contained by a transparent block which hovers in the air and unexpectedly tips.
