Japanese design collective Nendo created a tree house for 78 birds, & one human!¬†The tree house at the Momofuku Ando outdoor training centre is aimed at promoting nature-based activities, & is located in a forest in Komoro City, in Japan’s mountainous Nagano Prefecturem.
On one side the tree house provides nesting spaces for birds – with the other opening as an entrance that allows a person to look into the birds’ nests once inside.
Last month when we interviewed Nendo founder Oki Sako, we asked how a studio of 30 creatives manage some 200 projects at once.
The reply? ‘We don’t sleep.’
Prolific & diverse, & undoubtedly one of the hottest design practices around!
