The Empty Chair by Maarten Baas will be available as an edition pin.
As reported by FRAME MAG :
A symbol for repression of free speech, The Empty Chair’s design is an emblem of optimism.
The 5 m tall chair will be presented in Amsterdam to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International.  The chair has been created by Dutch designer Maarten Baas to honour Liu Xiaobo, a Chinese Nobel Peace Prize winner. It was commissioned by Amnesty International, which is seeking to support their campaign against increased suppression of writers, journalists, artists and activists.
When Xiabo was awarded the prize in 2010 for his peaceful battle for fundamental human rights, he was unable to accept the award as he was serving an 11-year prison sentence for ‘undermining the state.’
