New work by Sydney industrial designers Korban Flaubert includes ARMOUR, that explores the solidity & lustre of metal by folding blocks of solid stainless steel plates into each other to form a ‘rhythmic & chunky’ screen. The designers note ‘the blocky modelling’ of the screen is enhanced by the metal, as the material absorbs & reflects light from different directions.
CRACKLE Screen extends the branching geometry of the CRYSTAL Screen into a more complex pattern. Branches radiate, repeat & reconnect to form a crisp network.  The kite-shaped apertures working across each other at different angles, generating a fascinating shifting 3-D screen.
