Stephen Jones Adds a Feather In His Cap

“A Magazine Curated By”‚Äî the biannual Belgian publication able to recruit the likes of Maison Martin Margiela and Yohji Yamamoto to guest-edit entire issues ‚Äî has now recruited Stephen Jones.

Stephen Jones has dedicated the issue to staunch supporter and friend Anna Piaggi, delving into the worlds of illustration and design with archival and newly commissioned pieces from legions of lifelong collaborators, from artists and designers to students and teachers.

Works include a centerfold of Dita Von Teese by David Downton, Nick Knight’s floral christmas cards, the industrial designs of Raf Simons, and the musings of fashion curators Olivier Saillard and Valerie Steele.

In short, the issue promises a look “through the page and down the rabbit hole with the mad hatter‚Äîin an elegant whirl of color, line, creativity and humour.” If we know Stephen Jones, and we do, it will be exactly that.

The issue will launch March 4, 2013, at BOOKMARC in Paris

The city of Milan has partnered with Piaggi‚Äôs estate to create a permanent exhibition of her clothing and accessories at Fabbrica Del Vapore (Steam Factory), a cultural center for the city’s youth. According to WWD, the exhibition‚Äîcurated by the London College of Fashion‚Äîwill morph into a fashion museum set to be open its doors to the public later this month, during Milan Fashion Week.
