Swiss artist / photographer Fabian Oefner combines paint and gravity  creating liquid orchid-like forms he then shoots.

Fusing art and science, the images are created by a tank filled with acrylic paint with the artist dropping a sphere into the centre of the liquid that generate flower shaped forms he then photographs at high speed.

Oefner has created images by dispersing colour via sound waves, magnetic ferroliquids and fire – & is the subject of this fascinating TED-talk VIDEO.
