Canadian inter-disciplinary artist Suzie Smith presented Action Figures, a series of screen-printed dolls of famous people she considered to be iconic and inspirational. Johnny Cash, Courtney Love, Tina Turner and David Bowie are among the collective that was produced from 2003–2009. Graduating Fine Art in 2004, Smith is now undertaking a Fine Art Masters at the esteemed Glasgow School of Art, and her practice explores themes of consumerism, craft and value.
